SPECIAL CITY COMMISSION MEETING
MARCH 21, 2005
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Schreiber called the Special Meeting of the City
Commission to order at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2005, in Room 105,
Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88 Avenue, Tamarac, FL 33321.
PRESENT: Mayor Joe Schreiber, Vice Mayor Marc L. Sultanof, Commissioner
Edward C. Portner, Commissioner Beth Flansbaum-Talabisco, and
Commissioner Karen L. Roberts.
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Jeffrey L. Miller, City Attorney Mitchell S. Kraft,
and City Clerk Marion Swenson.
City Attorney Kraft explained this special meeting of the City Commission is held
pursuant to Section 286.011(8)(2004), F.S., because the City Attorney desires
advice concerning litigation regarding Virginia Britt and Duncan Britt, et al. v. City
of Tamarac, Florida (Case No. 00-19741). Those in attendance at the Attorney -
Client session will be City Attorney Kraft, Assistant City Attorney Steinerts, City
Manager Miller, and Greg Stewart, Special Counsel. The special meeting will be
recessed and the Attorney -Client Session will convene and the above attendees
will discuss the instant case.
Mayor Schreiber recessed the special meeting of the city commission at 11:33
a.m.
City Clerk Swenson left the room.
Mayor Schreiber reconvened the special meeting of the city commission at 12:10
p.m. There being no further business to come before the Mayor and City
Commission, Mayor Schreiber adjourned the special meeting at 12:11 p.m.
