SPECIAL CITY COMMISSION MEETING
MONDAY, JULY 09, 2001
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Schreiber called the Special City Commission meeting to
order at 12:45 p.m. in Conference Room 105, Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88'h Avenue,
Tamarac, FL
PRESENT: Mayor Joe Schreiber, Vice Mayor Marc L. Sultanof, Commissioner Edward
C. Portner, Commissioner Gertrude Mishkin, and Commissioner Karen L. Roberts.
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Jeffrey L. Miller, City Attorney Mitchell S. Kraft, and City
Clerk Marion Swenson.
AMENDING RESOLUTION R2001-174 APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE
PLANNING BOARD: (TR9454) Motion to approve resolution amending Resolution No.
R2001-174, appointing three regular members to the Planning Board to serve three-year
terms expiring April 15, 2004 and appointing two (2) alternate members to the Planning
Board to serve one-year terms expiring April 15, 2002, by revising the appointment of
one regular member to an alternate member status; revising the appointment of one
alternate member to a regular member status; confirming the membership of the
Planning Board; providing for conflicts; providing for severability; and providing an
effective date. City Attorney Kraft read Temporary Resolution 9454, Revision #1, by
title. Commissioner Roberts seconded by Vice Mayor Sultanof moved approval.
Commissioner Roberts explained that Mr. McCampbell, who previously served as an
alternate was not contacted prior to appointments being made to see if he would be able
to serve as a regular member to the Planning Board; however, the City Clerk contacted
him and he explained that because of his job status, he would prefer to serve as an
alternate member to the Board. On roll call Commissioner Roberts voted "yes", Vice
Mayor Sultanof "yes", Commissioner Partner `yes", Commissioner Mishkin "yes", and
Mayor Schreiber "yes". Motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. R2001-178
There being no further business to come before the City Commission, Mayor Schreiber
adjourned the special meeting at 12:45 p.m.
