CITY COMMISSION BUDGET WORKSHOP
TUESDAY, JULY 21, 1998
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Schreiber called the budget workshop to order on Tuesday,
July 21, 1998, at 2.00 p.m., in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525
Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.
PRESENT: Mayor Joseph Schreiber, Vice Mayor Larry Mishkin, Commissioner Karen
L. Roberts, Commissioner Marc L. Sultanof and Commissioner John E. McKaye.
ALSO PRESENT: Robert S. Noe, Jr., City Manager, Mitchell S. Kraft, City Attorney,
Tim Hemstreet, Assistant to the City Manager and Carol Gold, City Clerk.

1. PUBLIC WORKS: Public Works Director Raj Verma, City Engineer Azita
Behmardi and Public Works Operations Manager Mark Greenspan gave
presentations on the proposed Public Works Department budget beginning at
page 195 of the document and on Capital Improvement Projects requested.
Mayor Schreiber recessed the workshop at 3:20 p.m. and the meeting reconvened with
everyone present at 3:30 p.m.
2. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Community Development Director Jeff Miller,
Planning and Zoning Manager Chris King and Economic Development Specialist
Tammy Reed delivered the Community Development Department's proposed
budget beginning at page 69 and Capital Improvement requests.
3. CODE ENFORCEMENT: Code Enforcement Manager Cindy Diemer presented
the proposed Code Enforcement budget and Capital Improvement requests.
There being no further business, Mayor Schreiber adjourned the workshop at 5:25 p.m.
