CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
MONDAY, AUGUST 29, 1994
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Abramowitz called the meeting to order on Monday,
August 29, 1994, at 11:40 a.m. in the Conference Room #1 at Tamarac City Hall,
7525 Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

1. Public Partici a� - Any member of the public may speak to any issue
which is on this meeting notice. Speakers will be limited to three
minutes during this item. There will be a thirty (30) minute aggregate
time limit for this item, and speakers are encouraged to sign up in
advance with the City Clerk prior to their participation.
Nathan Peretzman, 600 NW 57 Court, referred to Section 627 regarding City
Council investments. He wanted to know where Tamarac got the money for a
long term investment of 5 million dollars in 1990.
Irvin Guyet, resident of Mainlands, stated that he had 15 years experience in
cable and that the only way to get lower rates is through satellite dishes and
towers not franchising.
2. Motion to Adopt Temp.Reso. #fial I authorizing the investment of
City funds by the City Manager or his designated representative in a
manner consistent with Florida Statutes and the City Code. (tabled on
8/24/94. APPROVED -RESOLUTION R-94-167-PASSED
