SPECIAL CITY COMMISSION MEETING
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1999
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Schreiber called the meeting to order on Wednesday,
December 22, 1999, at 10:10 A.M., in Conference Room #1, Tamarac City Hall,
7525 Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, FL.
PRESENT: Mayor Joe Schreiber, Vice Mayor Mishkin, Commissioner Edward C.
Portner, Commissioner Karen L. Roberts, and Commissioner Marc L. Sultanof
ALSO PRESENT: Jeffrey L. Miller, City Manager, Mitchell S. Kraft, City Attorney
and Carol Gold, City Clerk
1. POLICE PENSION BOARD OF TRUSTEES: (TR8853) Motion to adopt a
Resolution appointing two members to the Police Pension Board of Trustees.
City Attorney Kraft read Temporary Resolution #8853 by title. Commissioner
Roberts seconded by Commissioner Sultanof moved approve Temporary
Resolution #8853, appointing Raymond H. Parkhurst and Harvey Kram to the
Police Pension Board of Trustees. On roll call Commissioner Portner voted
"yes", Vice Mayor Mishkin "yes", Commissioner Sultanof "yes", Commissioner
Roberts "yes", and Mayor Schreiber "yes". Motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. R99-337
2. FIREFIGHTERS' PENSION BOARD OF TRUSTEES: (TR8854) Motion to
adopt a Resolution appointing two members to the Firefighters' Pension Board of
Trustees. City Attorney Kraft read Temporary Resolution #8854 by title.
Commissioner Roberts seconded by Commissioner Sultanof moved approval of
Temporary Resolution #8854 appointing Renee Lipton and Carol Gold to the
Firefighters' Pension Board of Trustees. On roll call Commissioner Portner voted
"yes", Vice Mayor Mishkin "yes", Commissioner Sultanof "yes", Commissioner
Roberts "yes", and Mayor Schreiber "yes". Motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. R99-338
There being no further business, Mayor Schreiber adjourned the Special meeting
at 10:30 A.M.
