CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP MEETING
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 1995
CALL TO OR12ER- Mayor Abramowitz called the meeting to order on Monday,
February 13, 1995, at 9:30 a.m. in Conference Room #1 at Tamarac City Hall, 7525
Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

CODE REVIEW
There was discussion pertaining to Section 5 regarding Buildings and Building
Regulations, Section 10, eliminating the Plan Adjustment Committee and Section 20
amending the Ordinance regarding landscaping.
Tape 2
Mayor Abramowitz discussed major or minor site plan revisions and agendizing fences
for a Workshop.
Sign Ordinance, waivers, Planning Commission, pole signs, Flag Ordinance and
miscellaneous signs were also discussed.

City Manager Noe referenced Section 2, the Director of Public Services and
City Commission Workshop Meeting

recommended that all departments should be combined into one Section.
Mr. Noe also recommended the Commissioners take their vacations in August and
recommended that Alternates be eliminated on the Public Information Committee. Vice
Mayor Katz recommended increasing the number of Regular members.
Dina McDermott, Assistant City Manager, recommended penalties, fines and liens be
placed in their appropriate sections.
Mr. Noe recommended Rules and Procedures be applicable for all boards and
committees, updating the Section pertaining to nepotism and incompatible financial
interest.
Mayor Abramowitz requested information pertaining to violation notices on signs and
discussed removing Section 4.2.

Dan Wood, Building Official, recommended the Building Department perform Safety
inspections and discussion followed regarding Safety procedures and reinspections,
Nathan Peretzman requested a copy of the Code changes.
2. SPACE COMMITTEE PROGRESS REPORT
There was no report.
Mayor Abramowitz ADJOURNED the MEETING at 12:00 P.M.

NOTICE OF WORKSHOP MEETING
CITY COMMISSION OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
There will be a Workshop Meeting of the City Commission on Monday, February 13,
1995, at 9:30 a.m., in the Conference Room #1 at Tamarac City Hall, 7525 N.W. 88th
Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.
Discussion will be held regarding the following:
1. Code Review
2. Space Committee Progress Report
This meeting is open to the public. In the event this agenda must be revised, such
revised copies will be available to the public at the City Commission meeting.
