CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP/ORIENTATION
MONDAY, MARCH 24, 1997
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Schreiber called the workshop/orientation to order on
Monday, March 24, 1997, at 9:30 a.m. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall,
7525 Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

City Manager Noe discussed Item 5.d., the City Commission four -week recess and the
consensus from the Commissioners was the period from August 4 through August 29.
Comm. Roberts questioned a conflict of interest concerning Item 5.b. and City Attorney
Kraft responded there was none.
V/M Mishkin commented on Item 5.j. regarding the widening of McNab Road and 5.k.
regarding a hydrostatic vibratory roller and Kline Jones and Raj Verma made
presentations.

V/M Mishkin commented on Item 8 concerning an EMS grant and Chief Budzinski
made a presentation.
City Manager Noe discussed Item 6 concerning telecommunications towers and Chris
King made a presentation.

Attorney Susan Delegal, representing PrimeCo., Paula Hickman, representing Nextel,
and Attorney Nina Boniske, representing BellSouth Mobility, made presentations.
Mayor Schreiber referenced Item 10 concerning the HTE agreement and Mr. Sucuoglu
indicated there were revisions.
2. Westpoint Development
Jeffrey Miller made a presentation, referenced Sam Butters, blasting at Tamarac
Commerce Park and said Broward County's ordinance concerning blasting was more
restrictive. There was discussion on blasting adjacent to the Sawgrass Expressway.
Mayor Schreiber called for a recess at 10:50 a.m. and the orientation continued at
11:00 a.m. with everyone except V/M Mishkin present.

With no further discussion, Mayor Schreiber adjourned the workshop/orientation at
12:05 p.m.
