CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP
MONDAY, MAY 8, 1995
CALL TO ORDEL Mayor Abramowitz called the Workshop to order on Monday, May
8, 1995, at 9:00 a.m. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525 Northwest
88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

Discussion was held concerning Arch Aluminum incentives. The Commission
explained to the City Manager the safeguards and guarantees required.
The City Manager distributed a list of proposed names for Land Section 7 with a
request that the Commission select a name.
4. Cable Television
The City Attorney updated the Commission on the Social Contract with Continental
Cablevision that was to settle the lawsuit with Continental. The Commission indicated a
desire to partake in an audit of Continental with the Group Cities.

1. Charter Review
After discussion, the Commission decided to place a charter amendment on Broward
County's September, 1995, ballot concerning an appointed rather than an elected
Charter Board.
2. Mid -Year Budget Review
The City Manager reviewed Staff requests for FY 95 mid -year budget.
3. Sign Ordinance
Jeff Miller, Director of Community Development, reviewed several sign issues. He
indicated there was $10,000. requested in the mid -year budget request for a
professional to produce a new Sign Ordinance for the City.
The Commission discussed Broward County's plan to close certain median openings
near Concord Village and The Greens.
With no further discussion, Mayor Abramowitz ADJOURNED the MEETING at 12:15
P.M.

NOTICE OF WORKSHOP MEETING
CITY COMMISSION OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
There will be a Workshop Meeting of the City Commission on Monday, May 8, 1995,
at 9:30 a.m., in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88 Avenue,
Tamarac, Florida.
Discussion will be held on the following subjects:
1. Charter Review.
2. Mid -Year Budget Review.
3. Sign Ordinance.
4. Cable Television.
All meetings are open to the public.
In the event this agenda must be revised, such revised copies will be available to the
public at the City Commission meeting.
