CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP
MONDAY, MAY 22, 1995
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Abramowitz called the Workshop to order onMonday,May
22, 1995, at 9:30 a.m. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525 Northwest
88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

1. The report from DAVID M. GRIFFITH & ASSOCIATES, LTD., on the pay and
classification study.
Robert Sheets of David M. Griffith & Associates, Ltd., presented an overview of the pay
and classification study. He and City Manager Noe answered questions and Mr. Noe
suggested placing only receipt of the study on a future Commission agenda and
schedule more Workshops.
3. Cable television social contract
City Attorney Kraft discussed meetings with Tamarac, Lauderhill and Plantation and
correspondence dated May 16, 1995 received from Liebowitz & Associates pertaining
to the lawsuit with Continental Cable and the proposed social contract. The City
Commission recommended that comments on the social contract be filed with the
Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

2. An agreement with the BROWARD SHERIFF'S OFFICE (BSO) for law
enforcement services for a five-year period.
City Manager Noe reviewed the proposed contract which was revised May 15, 1995
and his letter dated May 18, 1995. He highlighted the areas still under discussion but
not yet resolved.
With no further discussion, Mayor Abramowitz ADJOURNED the WORKSHOP at 2:50
P.M.
