CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP MEETING
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 1994
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Abramowitz called the meeting to order on
Monday, September 19, 1994, at 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Room #1 at
Tamarac City Hall, 7525 Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

Vice Mayor Irving Katz (Departed at 10:10 a.m.)
Commissioner Larry Mishkin
Commissioner Sharon Machek

1. Southern Sanitation
City Attorney Kraft made the presentation which included the reading of
Section 24 of the Residential Curbside Recycling Agreement dated
December 18, 1989.
2. Trart 27 Drainage
Presentation was made by Gordon Sparks, City Engineer for Drainage
consisting of additional parking, storm sewage and grading.
Mayor Abramowitz recommended a CONSENSUS of opinion for City
Engineer Sparks to get soil boring samples on Tract 27.

Lester Barr, President of the Tamarac Athletic Association, requested
that Mayor Abramowitz ask Lauderhill if the facilities at Westwind Park
could be used while the work is being done. Mayor Abramowitz said he
will talk to Lauderhill and North Lauderdale when the time comes.
Presentation was made by Mayor Abramowitz to build two bocci courts for
a cost of $ 6, 000-$ 8,000.
Mayor Abramowitz directed Ed Doyle to ask Alan Levine the location of the
previously projected bocci court.
