CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP
MONDAY, OCTOBER 14, 1996
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Abramowitz called the Workshop to order on Monday,
October 14, 1996, at 11.36 A.M. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525
Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

Mayor Norman Abramowitz
Vice Mayor Larry Mishkin
Commissioner Bruce Hoffman
Commissioner John E. McKaye
ABSENT AND EXCUSED:
Commissioner Joseph Schreiber
ALSO PRESENT:
Robert S. Noe, Jr., City Manager
Mitchell S. Kraft, City Attorney
Levent Sucuoglu, MIS Director
Glenda Christian, Senior Systems Analyst
Phyllis Polikoff, Office Specialist
Mayor Abramowitz advised that the EMS lawsuit was dismissed and a resolution
concerning "Eastward Ho" was received from the City of Wilton Manors. He
recommended agendizing this resolution for the October 23 City Commission meeting.
2. Chamber Donation
Mayor Abramowitz recommended donating $3,500. There was no further discussion.
Software/Hardware Acquisitions - HTE
Mr. Sucuoglu and Claude Jarman of HTE made presentations.
City Manager Noe advised a reception would be held in the atrium honoring retiring
Mayor Abramowitz on Wednesday, October 23, after the City Commission meeting and
refreshments would also be provided to the employees in the afternoon.

Mayor Abramowitz announced that he was recently appointed by Governor Chiles as a
civilian to the Medicare Task Force and with no further discussion, he adjourned the
Workshop at 12.10 P.M.
