CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 1995
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Abramowitz called the Workshop to order on Monday,
November 6, 1995, at 11:00 a.m. in Conference Room #1, 7525 Northwest 88th
Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

City Attorney Kraft read Section 4.05 of the Charter and discussion followed on
publicizing the vacancy from District I and the final date for accepting applications and
interviewing the candidates. Mayor Abramowitz suggested making the appointment on
November 22 at a Regular City Commission meeting.
Further discussion followed on length of term to March, 1996, and appointment of a
Vice Mayor.
2. Backflow Prevention
Mike Vaillant, Water Systems Manager, made a presentation.

City Manager Noe recommended additional time to investigate the program and Mayor
Abramowitz and Commissioners Machek, Mishkin and Schreiber concurred.

There will be a Workshop Meeting of the City Commission on Monday, November 6,
1995, in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88 Avenue, Tamarac,
Florida, at approximately 10:00 a.m. or immediately following the Executive Session
which is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
Discussion will be held on the following subjects:
1. Process of appointment of officials - discussion - City Attorney
2. Backflow Prevention
The City Commission may consider such other business as may come before it. All
meetings are open to the public. In the event this agenda must be revised, such
revised copies will be available to the public at the City Commission meeting.
