CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP MEETING
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1994
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Abramowitz called the meeting to order on Monday,
November 7, 1994, at 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Room #1 at Tamarac City Hall, 7525
Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.
PRESENT:
Mayor Norman Abramowitz
Vice Mayor Irving Katz
Commissioner Larry Mishkin
Commissioner Joseph Schreiber
Commissioner Sharon Machek
ALSO PRESENT:
Robert S. Noe, Jr., City Manager (exited at 12:10 p.m.)
Mitchell S. Kraft, City Attorney
Dina McDermott, Assistant City Manager ( exited at 11:00 a.m
Jim Budzinski, Fire Chief (entered at 10:15 a.m.)
Kristina L. Haynes, Secretary
Morton Winter, Charter Board Chairman
Arthur Ormont, Charter Board Member

Mayor Abramowitz announced the Executive Session was postponed. He said the
Workshop will be adjourned at 11:00 a.m. for the Attorney -Client Session and will
reconvene at the conclusion of the Attorney -Client Session.

Discussion was held on an Interoffice Memo sent by the Charter Board to the City
Commission requesting funds to hire an outside Charter Review Consultant.
The City Commission agreed to put this item on the Workshop Meeting of November
14, 1994 at 9:30 a.m. for further discussion.

Discussion was held on whether Tamarac should join the other cities in Broward County
and apply for an Advance Life Support License (ALS).
Presentation was made by Fire Chief Budzinski.
Mayor Abramowitz RECESSED the meeting at 11:00 a.m. and RECONVENED at 12:10
p.m. with all Commission Members and the City Attorney present.
Discussion was held on a request for an increase in compensation for City Attorney
Kraft.
Discussion was held on changing the vacation dates for the City Commission.
Mayor Abramowitz ADJOURNED the MEETING at 12:25 p.m.
