CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP MEETING
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 1994
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Abramowitz called the meeting to order on Monday,
November 14, 1994, at 11:00 a.m. in Conference Room #1 at Tamarac City Hall, 7525
Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

Discussion was held on the traffic effects of Petition #11-P-94 and the safety concerns
of residents.
Walter Coghlan, resident, expressed his concerns with the light at Mission Bay.
Bruce Schreiber, owner, stated they are complying with residential issues and the
Florida Department of Transportation.

2. The Charter
Discussion was held on revising the City of Tamarac Charter and the use of Model
Charters. The City Commission and the Charter Board will review the Charter
independently and then have a joint meeting to discuss the changes to be made and
how to present it to the citizens.

Comptroller Karen Williard made the presentation on behalf of the Space Committee on
the changes in office space.
Discussion was held on the first floor changes and the reasons for the shifting of
offices.
Mayor Abramowitz RECESSED the meeting at 12:15 p.m. for lunch and
RECONVENED at 12:45 p.m. with all present.
4. industrial Revenue Bonds
Presentation was made by City Manager Noe concerning ITW Mima and the possibility
of another large company coming to Tamarac.
5. Qther Business
Discussion was held on additional street lights in the Mainlands and the trafficways map
concerning 44th Street.
Mayor Abramowitz ADJOURNED the MEETING at 1:05 p.m.
