CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP MEETING
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 1995
CALL TO ORDER_ Mayor Abramowitz called the Workshop to Order on Monday,
November 20, 1995, at 1:00 P.M. in Conference Room #1, 7525 Northwest 88th
Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

Discussion was held on Mr. Rohr's health, qualifications, how to attract business and
industry, traffic, funding for repaving, the Charter, Emergency Medical Services and
whether he would run for office in March, 1996.

Mr. Moore responded to questions regarding qualifications for appointment, funding for
repaving, health and running for office in March. He was also questioned regarding
Emergency Medical Services, improving the City, the Charter, budget, what could be
accomplished if he was appointed, term limits, the City's form of government and future
of the City.
1:40 P.M. MORTON WINTER
Mr. Winter was questioned on the role of the City Commission, what could be
accomplished if he was appointed, the Charter and Emergency Medical Services.

He was also questioned on his health and discussion followed on time devoted to the
position, running for office in March, funding for repaving, methods to bring business
and industry into the City, ways to make the City operate better and schools. Mr. Winter
also commented on the City's form of government, the crime situation, what the City
has done wrong that should be corrected, the Charter, the budget and whether
additional out -reach services were needed.
Mayor Abramowitz requested a recess at 1:55 P.M. and the Workshop reconvened at
2:00 P.M. with everyone in attendance.
2:00 P.M. JOHN E. M YE
Mr. McKaye responded to questions on his qualifications, attendance at Commission
meetings, running for office in March, health, and whether he thought anything should
be corrected with regard to the City. He also responded to questions pertaining to the
City's form of government, Emergency Medical Services, funding to repave the streets,
additional out -reach services, reducing speed limits in certain communities, three things
he might try to accomplish if appointed, the Charter, term limits and younger people
moving into the City.
2:20 P.M. S SAN LEVI WALLACH
Mrs. Wallach responded to questions regarding why she applied and was she able to
devote the time in the position. She commented on younger families and people
moving into Tamarac, development on Land Section 7, what she would do if appointed,
and whether she would run for office in March, 1996, if not appointed and her opinion of
residents paying their fair share of taxes.

Mrs. Wallach remarked on the role of the Commission, what three things she would try
to accomplish, if appointed, and whether or not she would run for office in March.
2:40 P.M. WILLIAM SHERMAN
Mr. Sherman answered questions concerning whether he had the time to spend at City
Hall and whether or not he would run for office in March, why he wanted the position,
ways to bring business and industry into the City, Emergency Medical Services, funding
to repave City streets and people paying their fair share. He responded to whether City

taxes were too high, his opinion of the Stormwater Drainage Fund, what problems need
to be addressed and corrected, the role of the Commission and if he would resign from
the Planning Commission if appointed.
3:00 LAWRENCE MILBAUER
Mr. Milbauer advised how long he lived in Tamarac, that he was retired, why he wanted
to be a Commissioner and whether he knew the duties of the Commission. He was
asked about Emergency Medical Services, what the City's prime concerns were and if
he had any remedies, would he run for office in March and developing Land Section 7.
He answered questions regarding the Charter, budget, older neighborhoods, additional
out -reach services, and ability to devote time as Commissioner.

Discussion followed on a time frame to make and agendize the decision and
with no other business, Mayor Abramowitz adjourned the Workshop at 3:17 P.M.

There will be a workshop meeting of the City Commission on Monday, November 20,
1995, at 1:00 p.m. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88 Avenue,
Tamarac, Florida.
The City Commission will conduct interviews of applicants who applied for the position
of Commissioner to represent District #1.
The Commission may consider such other business as may come before it.
All meetings are open to the public.
In the event this agenda must be revised, such revised copies will be available to the
public at the City Commission meeting.
