CITY COUNCIL
WORKSHOP MEETING
PARKING ORDINANCE
June 17, 1980
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Falck called the meeting to order on Tuesday,
June 17, 1980 in Council Chambers.
ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Mayor Walter W. Falck
Councilman Irving M. Disraelly
Councilwoman Marjorie Kelch
ABSENT & EXCUSED:
ALSO PRESENT:
Vice Mayor Helen Massaro
Councilman Irving Zemel
City Clerk, Marilyn Bertholf
Mayor Falck stated this was the second workshop meeting held
to discuss the proposed parking ordinance.
C/M Disraelly stated in the previous meeting the review had
been up to Commercial banks, restaurants and golf courses.
A report was submitted by Evan Cross, the City Planner on a
survey that he completed on Commercial Banks shows a regulation of
1 to 200 square feet is the most strict at the level of activities.
His recommendation for a commercial bank is 1 to 150 with the
Savings & Loans to be I to 200 square feet.
Our present Ordinance shows the square footage for both
Commercial and Savings & Loans to be 1 to 200 square feet.
Other areas discussed were customer service areas rather than
total floor area.Customer service area is a floor area normally
open to the public with no special permission from the owner or
operator.
Mayor Falck asked C/m Disraelly if it was his opinion to go
with the 1 to 150 and C/m Disraelly stated with the Commercial ---
At this point the tape of this meeting went blank.
