Pre -Termination Hearing for Albert Miller, Chief Building
official - Discussion and possible action
SYNOPSIS OF ACTION:
New meeting ;WiTl1be scheduled
after final details are reconciled
The following is a verbatim transcript requested by Mayor
Falck.
Jon Henning: Mayor, I know that this is the second time we have convened
this meeting. The first time was to give the parties a
better opportunity or longer time to prepare. Since the last
meeting, there has been some discussions between the two
parties, between the City Manager's Office and Mr. Miller and
his representatives, and we are very close to a reconciliation
and for that reason I'm asking that if you would, I think,
cancel this meeting, and I don't even think it will be nec-
essary to have a reconvening of this meeting. I hoped to
have some papers signed so that we can have a more specific
report for you today, but we will work on the reconciliation
and report to you as soon as everything is firmed up, and we
are very optimistic that a Hearing will not be necessary.
qayor. Pamlck.: Council, any questions?
V/M Massaro: Mayor?
Mayor Falck: Yes, mam?
V/M Massaro: I have one question. If a meeting should be necessary, it
will simply mean calling a new meeting at the appropriate
hours that are required to call?
Jon Henning: Yes, there will be a meeting with a few days notice ... a few
days are not needed,I'm sure that we'll give a few days notice.
C/M Krantz: Mr. Henning?
Jon Henninq: Yes?
C/M Krantz: ... Oh, I'm sorry. I'm awfully sorry.
C/M Disraelly: I'd like Mr. Henning's remarks be verbatim, Mr. Mayor
Mayor Falck: Alright. OK.

C/M Krantz: I was just wondering. You say that a reconciliation will be
effected today?
Jon Henning.- No, we're working on a reconciliation. I hope to have some-
thing in writing for you today. we worked feverently on it
yesterday but, ah, it just could not be accomplished and
hopefully that you'll have something in a couple of days to
use, resolving this.
Mayor Falck:
C/M Kravitz:
Any other questions from the Council?
Mr. Mayor, I would like a point of information. On a re-
conciliation, is that subject to approval of Council or does
it not go to Council, on reconciliation?
Jon Henning: Well, it would conceivably depend upon the terms of the re-
conciliation that the, I believe that there would be...
regarding.... I am not in a position today to tell you if it's
required absolutely, but my understanding is with Mrs.Stuurmans ' -
that Council would be given the opportunity to approve this,
as this will be discussed.
City Manager: Yes.
Mayor Falck: Any other questions from Council?
O.K., this meeting is adjourned and is subject to a reconven-
ing or re-establishing a time for a new meeting after the
details as outlined by City Attorney have been worked out.
Thank you.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:35 A.M.
