NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
There will be a Special Meeting of the City Council at 5:05
P.M. on Wednesday, May 13, 1987, in the Council Chambers at
City Hall, 5811 NW 88 Avenue, Tamarac.
The purpose of this Special Meeting is to hold public
hearings on the regulation and change of land uses in
amending the Tamarac Land Use Element pertaining to the
following petitions:
1. SABAL PALMLTD., -
a) MOTION TO ADOPT Temp. Reso. #4618 Submitting
amendments to the Tamarac Land Use Element Flex-
ibility Zone Sixty Four (64), portion of Section
Twelve (12) and Thirteen (13); Authorizing
• submission to the Broward County Planning Council
for recertification thereof; Sabal Palms, Ltd.;
Parcels lA and 1B; Petition No. 1-LUA-87.
b) MOTION TO ADOPT Te eso #4619 Submitting
40 amendments to the Tamarac Land Use Element Flex-
ibility Zone Sixty Four (64), portion of Section
Twelve (12) and Thirteen (13); Authorizing sub-
mission to the Broward County Planning Council for
recertification thereof; Sabal Palms, Ltd.; Parcel
2; Petition No. 2--LUA-87.

Any citizen, property owner, public official or governmental
unit will be given an opportunity to be heard for or against
these proposed amendments.
The City Council may consider and act upon such other
business as may come before it.

ALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hart called this Special City Council Meeting to
rder on Wedn-_sday, May 13, 1987 at 5:05 P.M. in the Council Chambers.
MEDITATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Mayor Hart called for the Pledge of
Allegiance followed by a Moment of Silent Meditation.

Mayor Hart said he had visited ono of the schools for "Red
Ribbon Day" and was very pleased to see all the children
participating for the cause.

Item 1 a, b, c and d were
WITHDRAWN by the Petitioner.

Thelma Brown, City Planner, said the Petitioner, Mr. Duke,
asked that these Petitions be Withdrawn at this time. She
suggested Council not discuss these Items at all for they
may come to Council in the near future.
City Attorney Applegate said Ms. Brown's suggestion, that
no discussion be made regarding these Items, was a very
wise suggestion for Council.
Mayor Hart announced there would be a Regular City Council
meeting at 7: 00 P.M. this evening.
