NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
There will be a Special City Council Meeting on Wednesday,
June 18, 1986 at approximately 10 AM or immediately following
the pre -agenda Workshop meeting scheduled for 9:00 AM in the
West Conference Room, at City Hall, 5811 NW 88th Avenue,
Tamarac.
The purpose of the meeting is discussion and possible action
on the following:
1: TEMP RESO. #4186: Urging the Broward County Com-
missioners to adopt Federal Environmental Protection
Agency standards in the Construction of the proposed
Resource Recovery Plant.
2: TEMP. RE 4187: Ratifying a Reapportionment
Plan for the Broward County Metropolitan Planning
Organization.
The City Council may consider and act upon such other bus-
iness as may come before it.
Pursuant to Section 286.0105, Plorida Statutes
If a person derides to appeal any decision made by the city
Council with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or

CALL TO„QRDER: Mayor Hart called the meeting to order at
9:45 a.m. on Wednesday June 18, 1986 in the West Conference
Room.
ROLL CALL: PRESENT:
Mayor Bernard Hart
Vice Mayor Sydney Stein
Councilman Jack Stelzer
Councilman Arthur Gottesman
ABSENT AND EXCUSED:
Councilwoman Helen Massaro
ALSO PRESENT
Larry Perretti, City Manager
Bryant Applegate, City Attorney
Pauline Walaszek, Secretary
1. TEMP. RES . #4186: Urging the Broward County
- Commissioners to adopt Federal Environmental
Protection Agency standards in the Construction of
the proposed Resource Recovery Plant.
SYNOPSIS OF ACTION: Resolution #4186 PASSED
APPROVED.
VOTE
Mayor Hart explained that the Resolutions are past due
and should go out. He mentioned Tamarac was one of the
four Cities that has not adopted the Metropolitan
Planning Organization (MPO) and the Environmental
Protection Agency Resolutions.

APPROVED.
Resolution #4187 PASSED
Bryant Applegate read Temp. Reso.44187 by title.
Mayor Hart said that on the MPO, Tamarac along with many
other small Cities had no representation. He said that
under the new plan being presented to the Governor,
Tamarac is designated as an alternate delegate.
VOTE:
V/M Stein mentioned that there were representatives from
every one hundred thousand people and Tamarac was placed
in the Coral Springs and Parkland category as an
alternate. He then MOVED to APPROVE Temp.Reso. #4187.
SECONDED by C/M Stelzer.

Mayor Hart adjourned the meeting at 9:50 a.m.
