SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
PRELIMINARY TAX MILLAGE RATE
AUGUST 13, 1980
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Falck called the Special Meeting to order on
Wednesday, August 13, 1980, at 2:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers.
ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Mayor Walter W. Falck
Councilman Irving M. Disraelly
Councilman Irving Zemel
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager, Edward A. Gross
Ass't. City Clerk, Carol Evans
Clerk/Steno., Mimi Reiter
ABSENT & EXCUSED: Vice -Mayor Helen Massaro
Councilwoman Marjorie Ketch
Mayor Falck read the Official Notice into the record.
C/M Disraelly MOVED to AGENDIZE BY CONSENT,for consideration, Temp. Reso.
#1741, requesting financial assistance from the Local Government Compre-
hensive Planning Act, and C/M Zemel. SECONDED.
VOTE: ALL VOTED AYE.
Mr. Gross said that the City Attorney has not been able to give his final
opinion and understanding of the Trim Bill, which affects the budget. He
requested to table this item to Friday, August 15, 1980, at 10:00 A.M.
C/M Disraelly MOVED that this item be tabled to Friday, August 15, 1980,
at 10:00 A.M., and C/M Zemel SECONDED.
VOTE: ALL VOTED AYE.
Tem E. Reso. #1741 - Requesting Financial Assistance from the Local Govern-
ment Comprehensive Planning Act.
SYNOPSIS OF ACTION: Adopted
RESOLUTION NO.R- �p / �� PASSED.
C/M Disraelly read Temp. Reso. #1741, in its entirety, and MOVED for its
adoption and approval, with a SECOND by C/M Zemel.
Mayor Falck stated that this information reached Council's office on
Friday afternoon, and it was necessary to file by this day, a resolution
indicating the eligibility and the desire to apply for financial assistance,
to continue the work in connection with the Comprehensive Planning Act.
He further noted that this information was submitted to Evan Cross, the
City Planner, as to conforming with the legislation that provides the City
an opportunity to file for assistance, not only for the balance of this year,
but also the years hence.
VOTE: ALL VOTED AYE.

Please be advised of a Special Meeting of the City
Council to be held on Wednesday, August 13th begin-
ning at 2:30 P.M. in Council. Chambers of City Hall,
5811 N.W. 88th Avenue.
The purpose of this meeting is to set a Preliminary
Tax Millage Rate.
Council may consider such other business as may come
before it.
The Public is invited to attend.
