NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY COUNCIL OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
There will be a Special meeting of the City Council at
10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, October 7, 1987, in the West Confer-
ence Room of City Hall, 5811 NW 88 Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.
The purpose of this meeting is to reject all bids received
under Bid #87-26 for construction of the Tamarac Municipal
Complex Police Facility and to authorize the City Manager to
rebid this project.
FINAL ACTION:
Council rejected all bids received under Bid #87-26 and
the City Manager was authorized to rebid this project.
The City Council may consider and act upon such other busi-
ness as may come before it.
All meetings are open to the public.

CALL TO ORDER Mayor Hart Called this Special City Council Meeting to Order on
Wednesday, October 7, 1987 at 10:30 A.M. in the West Conference Room at
City Hall.

MOTION TO REJECT all Bids received under Bid #87-26

Facility and to AUTHORIZE the City Manager to rebid this
project.

City Manager Kelly said after the Bid Opening on Tuesday,
October 6, 1987, Keith Emery, Construction Manager,
informed him that all the bids received were too high for
the money allocated for the project. He said Mr. Emery
suggested the bids received be rejected and new
advertisement for the project be done.
Mayor Hart asked if there would be a time limit on the
bidding and City Manager Kelly said Mr. Emery would
advertise on Tuesday, October 13, 1987 and Tuesday,
October 20, 1987.
City Manager Kelly said two addendums had been added to
the bid specifications which presented problems with the
bidders. He said the bid opening would be on Tuesday,
October 27, 1987.
V/M Stein said Construction Bids were required to be
advertised on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
* C/M Hoffman MOVED to REJECT all Bids received under Bid #87-26

* Facility, SECONDED by V/M Stein.
VOTE: ALL VOTED AYE
C/M Hoffman MOVED to AUTHORIZE the City Manager to rebid this
Project at the earliest possible date, SECONDED by V/M Stein.

City Manager Kelly said the presentations were being made
this morning at the main library for the League of Cities
Meeting. He said Public Works would be taking the
rendering of the City Hall to them with a proclamation by
Mayor Hart congratulating them on their 30th Birthday.
He said Capital Improvement projects by the City of
Tamarac would also be available at that meeting.
With no further business, Mayor Hart adjourned this
meeting at 10:45 A.M.
