AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF
TAMARAC AND REDEFINING THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described tract of land is con-
tifuous to the present boundaries of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10)
registered voters, and
WHEREAS, the owner of said tract of land has petitioned
the City of Tamarac to integrate said land into said City, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is empowered to annex said
land pursuant to the provisions of Section 9.37 of Chapter
63,1970, Laws of Florida, Special Acts of 1963, the same being
the Chapter of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, the City did by Ordinance No. 68-5 declare its
intention to annex the said tract of land, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 68-5 was duly published as
required by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Thefbllowing described tract of land be and
the same is F57reby annexed to the City of Tamarac, to -wit:
Lots 9 and 16 of Fort Lauderdale Truct Farms Subdivision
of Section 9, Township 49 South, Range 41 East, Broward
County, Florida, as recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 31,
Broward County,Records; and
Lots 102 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 of Fort Lauderdale
0 Truck Farms Subdivision of Section 10, Township 49
South, Range 41 East, Broward County, Florida, as
recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 31, Broward County
Records.
SECTION 2: The corporate limits of the City of Tamarac
are hereby redefined to include the foregoing described tract
of land as follows, to -wit:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the South
one-half of the Southwest one -quarter (SW1/4) of
Section 16, Township 49 South, Range 42 East, Broward
County, Florida; thence Easterly along the North
line of said South one-half (S1/2) of the Southwest
one -quarter (SW1/4) a distance of 435 feet to the
Point of Beginning; thence continuing Easterly along
the last described course, a distance of 2193.94
feet, more or less, to the Northeast corner of the
Southeast one -quarter (SE1/4) of the Southwest one -
quarter (SW1/4) of said Section 16; thence S-10 19'
46"-E, along the East line of said Southeast one -
quarter (SE1/4) of The Southwest one -quarter (SWl/4)
a distance of 1016.92 feet to a point; thence N-
770 39' 11"-W, a distance of 1353.68 feet to a point;
thence 5-011 15' 35"-Ea a distance of 51.44 feet
to a point; thence N-770 39' 11"-W, a distance of
1845.47 feet to a point; thence Northerly and Westerly
along the arc of a circular curve to the right, having
a radius of 1246.28 feet an arc distance of 1396.03
feet to a point on the South line of the North one-
half (N1/2) of the Northwest one -quarter (NW1/4)
of the Southeast one -quarter (SE1/4) of Section 17,
Township 49 South, Range 42 East, thence Westerly
along the South line of said North one-half (N1/2)
of the Northwest one -quarter (NW1/4) of the Southeast
one -quarter (SE1/4) to the Southwest corner of the
North one-half (N1/2) of the Northwest one -quarter
(NW1/4) of the Southeast one -quarter (SEl/4); thence
Westerly along the South line of the North one-half

SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall become in full force
and effect upon a certified copy hereof being recorded in
the public records of Broward County, Florida.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be passed on three
readings 'al —one meeting of the Council.
