AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1-64
(GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE); PROHIBITING
SERVICE STATIONS IN C-1 DISTRICTS; CREATING
A NEW C-2 DISTRICT WHEREIN SERVICE STATIONS
ARE PERMITTED; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THERE-
WITH: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 4.03 of Ordinance No. 1-64
is amended to read as follows:
"Section 4.03. Uses Prohibited.
Except as expressly authorized or permitted
pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance, all
other uses are prohibited, and gasoline service
stations are expressly prohibited."
SECTION 2: That a new Article IV C is added to
Ordinance No. 1-64, said new Article to read as follows:
"Article IV C - Commerical District; Gasoline Service
Stations Permitted.
Section 4.03.5 - Definition:
Gasoline service station shall be defined
as any structure or place where gasoline, or its
components, oil and greases are supplied or dis-
pensed -to a motor vehicle.
Section 4.03.6 - Uses Permitted:
The uses permitted in C-2 Districts are as
follows:
A. All uses permitted in C-1 Districts.
• B. The construction, operation, and
maintenance of gasoline service statims.

Section 4.03.7 - Set -back and Height Requirements; Uses
Prohibited:
The set -back and height requirements as well as
the uses prohibited shall be the same as in C-1 Dis-
trict; provided, however, gasoline service stations
shall be permitted."
SECTION 3: Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence
or word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than the
part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
