AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 70-12;
PROVIDING FOR THE PROHIBITION OF THE TAMPER-
ING OR DAMAGING OF PUBLIC PROPERTY, BUILDINGS,
AND OTHER PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING EX-
CEPTIONS; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION
HEREOF; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to
protect public property, now, therefore,
FLORIDA:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 70-12 is hereby
• repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 2: That it shall be unlawful for any
person, firm or corporation to tamper with, break into,
or otherwise damage any property, building or improvement
owned or controlled by the City.
SECTION 3: That it shall be lawful for any
employee of the City or agent of the City or other person,
firm or corporation authorized in writing by the proper
City Official, to work on or with any public property,
building or improvement.
SECTION 4: Any person who shall be convicted of
a violation of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine
not exceeding the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars or
by imprisonment for not more than ninety days or both such
fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 5: All Ordinance or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.

SECTION 6: Should any section or provision of
this Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph,
sentence or word be declared by a court of competent juris-
diction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or any part
hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
