CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE #��-c;2, -
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF
ANY VEHICLES UPON LAWN AREAS THAT ARE
SERVICED BY UNDERGROUND WATER SPRINKLER
SYSTEMS; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE
VIOLATION HEREOF; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, serious damage has been done to lawn and
water sprinkler systems by vehicles parking upon same, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary and
in the interest of the public health, safety and welfare to
prohibit parking upon lawn areas serviced by underground
water sprinkler systems.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL
of the City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: No person, firm or corporation shall
park, at any time, any vehicle, of whatsoever nature, upon
any lawns or other landscaped areas that are serviced by
underground water sprinkler systems.
SECTION 2: Any person who shall be convicted of
a violation of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine
not exceeding the sum of Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars or
by imprisonment for not more than ninety days or both such
fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of
this Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph,
sentence or word be declared by a court of competent juris-
diction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or any part
