AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 70-2;
PROVIDING FOR THE TIME OF REGULAR MEETINGS OF
THE CITY COUNCIL AND PROVIDING FOR THE TIME
OF WORKSHOP MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; PRO-
VIDING FOR THE CANCELLATION OF SUBSEQUENTLY
SCHEDULED WORKSHOP MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL;
PROVIDING FOR THE RE -SCHEDULING OF MEETING DATES
FALLING UPON HOLIDAYS; PROVIDING FOR THE CALL-
ING OF SPECIAL MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL; RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRO-
VIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to
reset the time of Council Meetings.
9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL of
the City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance Number 70-2 is hereby
repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 2: That Regular Meetings of the City
Council of the City of Tamarac shall be held on the first
Tuesday evening of each month, at 7:30 P.M. and on the third
Tuesday afternoon of each month at 3:30 P.M.
SECTION 3: That Workshop Meetings of the City
Council shall be held on the second and fourth Tuesday
afternoon of each month at 3:30 P.M.
SECTION 4: That the Council may, upon motion of
any Councilman, and by a majority vote of the Members of the
Council at any Regular, Special, or Workshop Meeting of the
City Council, cancel any subsequently scheduled Workshop Meeting.
SECTION 5: That should any regularly scheduled Work-
shop or Regular Council Meeting fall upon a legal holiday, said
Meeting may be held on the next subsequent Tuesday or at any
other time set by a majority vote of the Members of the City
Council.

SECTION 6: That the Mayor, or any two Councilmen,
or the City Clerk, may call a Special Meeting of the City
Council upon at least six hours written notice to each Council-
man, the City Clerk, and the City Attorney. Said notice may be
served personally or may be left at the usual place of residence
of those required to be notified.
SECTION 7: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
SECTION 8: Should any Section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion hereof, or any paragraphs, sentence
or word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other
than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 9: This Ordinance and the requirements
hereunder shall be effective beginning with the first Tuesday
in the month of August, the year 1970.
