CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE 7o -
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 70-21;
PROVIDING FOR PERMITS FOR ALTERATIONS TO EX-
ISTING STRUCTURES; PROVIDING FEES FOR SAME;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE.
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary
upon the recommendation of the Building Department to
require a permit and a fee therefore for alterations
done to existing structures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL
of the City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance Number 70--21 is hereby
amended by adding thereto Section 5 as follows:
SECTION 5: That prior to initiation
of construction of an alteration or ad-
dition to then existing structure, the
person, firm or corporation desirous of
performing said construction shall be re-
quired to obtain a permit from the Building
Department and upon the taking of such a
permit shall be required to pay a fee as
follows:
BASED ON COST OF JOB
$ 0.00 to less than $100.00
Fee of $ 5.00.
$ 100.00 to less than $500.00
Fee of $ 9.00.
$ 500.00 to less than $1,000.00
Fee of $12.00.
$1,000.00 to less than $1,500.00
Fee of $15.00.
$1,500.00 to less than $2,000.00
Fee of $17.50.
FOR EACH ADDITIONAL $500.00 IN
COST OF JOB, ADD A FEE OF $2.00.

SECTION 6: That the Mayor, or any two Councilmen,
or the City Clerk, may call a Special Meeting of the City
Council upon at least six hours written notice to each Council-
man, the City Clerk, and the City Attorney. Said notice may be
served personally or may be left at the usual place of residence
of those required to be notified.
SECTION 7: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
SECTION 8: Should any Section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion hereof, or any paragraphs, sentence
or word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other
than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 9: This Ordinance and the requirements
hereunder shall be effective beginning with the first Tuesday
in the month of August, the year 1970.
