ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO
SECTION 11 OF ARTICLE III
OF THE CITY CITA R OF THE CITY OF-TTMARAC
RELATING TO POWERS OF LOCAL SELF-
GOVERNMENT , UPON SUBMISSTON BY THE
HE CITY OF TAMARAC AND
APPROVAL BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION
124 OF THE CITY CHARTER OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC.
WHEREAS) Section 124 of the City Charter of the City
of Tamarac authorizes amendments.to the City Charter of
the City of Tamarac upon submission by the Charter Board
and approved by the City Council, and
WHEREAS, both of such bodies have approved the.amend-
ment which is the subject matter -of this Ordinance and deem
the same to be desirable.
NOW9 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
City of Tamarac, Florida:

SECTION 1: That the amendment to Article III -
Section 11 of the City Charter relating to Powers
of Local Self-government I attached
hereto and marked Charter Board Proposed Amendment No. 5
be and the same is hereby adopted and made a part of the M
City Charter of the City of Tamarac, Florida.
SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall become effective im-
mediately upon its final. passage.

AMENDMgLT jt5 TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC
ARTICLE 111, SECTION 11, of the City Charter of the City of
Tamarac is hereby amended to read as follows:
"cc. Powers of Local Self-government
To exercise all of the powers of local self-government and
to do whatever may be deemed necessary or proper for the safety,
health, or general welfare of the inhabitants of said City; to
exercise full police powers; to do and perform all acts and
things permitted by the laws of the State of Florida,'and
comprehended as duties in the performance of anything recognized
as a "Municipal Purpose" whether now existing and recognized, or
hereafter recognized as a municipal purpose by Statute Law or
Court decision, where the same is not in conflict with the
provisions of this Charter."
