CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO
SECTION 11 OF ARTICLE III
OF THE CTT��A ,'DER OF THE M�OF-TAMARAC
RELATING TO DECLARED MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
CMTEIT BOW HE CITY OF TAMARAC AND
APPROVAL BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION
124 OF THE CITY CHARTER OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC.
WHEREAS, Section 124 of the City Charter of the City
of Tamarac authorizes amendments to the City Charter of
the City of Tamarac upon submission by the Charter Board
and approved by the City Council, and
WHEREAS, both of such bodies have approved the amend-
ment which is the subject matter,o£ this Ordinance and deem
the same to be desirable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
City of Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1:
Section 11
That the amendment to Article.
of the City Charter relating to Declared
Munici al purposes attached
hereto and marked Charter Board Proposed Amendment No. 6
be and the same is hereby adopted and made a part of the
City Charter of the City of Tamarac, Florida.
SECTION 2: 'This Ordinance shall become effective im-
mediately upon its final passage.

AMENDMENT 6 TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC
ARTICLE III, Section 11, ee of the City Charter of the City
of Tamarac is hereby amended to read as follows:
"ee. Declared Municipal Pur oses
All public improvements authorized in this Charter are hereby
determined and declared to be public municipal functions, and all
of the acts authorized to be done and performed in connection
therewith are hereby designated and declared to be for a public,
municipal purpose. In connection with providing funds for the
payment of any.or all of the costs of construction of any project
or improvement recognized or designated as a "Municipal Purpose
the City may use, appropriate or pledge any revenues of the City
available for such purpose, including the power, right and
authority to use or pledge the proceeds of utility service,
taxes, franchise taxes and cigarette taxes. In connection with
obtaining land, easements, waterways, or other private property,
or private interests, to be used in connection with any public
construction, or to be used for any public or municipal purpose,
the City has the full and complete power of eminent domain, and
the determination by resolution of the Council that such private
property is needed for a public purpose shall be sufficient, but
said resolution shall be passed only after a public hearing duly
advertised as otherwise required by law."
