CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 73-40
BY CHANGING THE TIME OF THE SECOND COUNCIL
MEETING EACH MONTH; ESTABLISHING ALTERNATIVE
DATES: PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Tamarac,
FLORIDA, PROVIDES that regular meetings of the City Council
may be held twice a month., and
WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Tamarac,
Florida provides that regular meetings are to be established
by ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the President of the United States has requested
conservation of energy, and
WHEREAS, the City Council determines that the energy
crisis constitutes an emergency within the definition of the
City Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION l: That Section 3 of Ordinance No 73-40 is hereby
amended to read:
"A second meeting of the City Council of the City of
Tamarac shall be held on third Wednesday of the month
after Ist Thursday at 10:00 am."
SECTION 2: Should a regular meeting date fall on a legal
holiday, the meeting shall automatically be re -set to the
following day of that month.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance is to become effective
immediately upon its final passage.
