AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 25 OF ARTICLE V
OF THE CITY CHARTER OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC
RELATING TO REGULAR MEETINGS; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE AND PROVIDING FOR VOTER APPROVAL
BY REFERENDUM.
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to submit Charter
Amendments to the electors of the City by referendum pursuant to
the provisions of Section 166.17 FLORIDA STATUTES, and
WHEREAS, the Council deems the subject amendment to be
desirable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of
Tamarac, Florida:
SECTION 1: That Section 25 of Article V of the City Charter
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 25. REGULAR MEETINGS
The Council shall meet regularly not less than once nor
more than twice a month at such times and places as may be specified
by Ordinance. Council may waive not more than one of two regular
meetings per month by Resolution passed at a regular meeting."
SECTION 2: That this amendment shall become effective upon
approval by a majority of the electors voting in a referendum
upon such amendment.
SECTION 3: That the referendum on this Ordinance shall be
held at the general election in the City of Tamarac, 1973.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage.

ARTICLE V, SECTION 30 Of the Cit7 Charter of the City
of Tamarac is hereby amended to read as follo*"s-
"SECTION 30. -fINWES AYD AGENDA
The Council shall cause the City Clerk to keep minutes
of the meeting of the Council and shall present to the Council
at each regular meeting the minutes frocn the preceding regular
Council meeting and the minutes of any intervening special meetin
of the Council for approval. The Council shall approve said
minutes either as written or as corrected before proceeding with
the agenda. The proposed,agenda for each meeting of the Council
shall be -posted in a conspicuous place at City •Hali,and shall be
made available to the public prior to the scheduled meeting time.
Minutes of any regular or special meeting of the -Council are to
be retained at City Hall and shall be open to inspection by the -
public. The City Clerk shall prepare. and make available for publ
view the draft of the minutes of the Council meeting wit'iin
five (5) working days of the close of each day's meeting whether
adjourned sin die or not. The City Clerk shall make available.
.to the public, copies of agenda and minutes of Council meetings
at cost._"
