CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PRIOR ZONING
ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR THE RE-
ZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY FROM
B-1 TO B-2; PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENT
OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO REFLECT
SUCH CHANGE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
WHEREAS, pursuant to the instruction of the City
Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has
been given in accordance with the applicable law of the
time and place of public hearing regarding the zoning of
the property described herein, and the said public hearing
has been held in accordance with the notice and the public
has been given an opportunity to be, and has been, heard;
and the Council has examined and investigated the request
for the zoning herein and has received the recommendation
of the Zoning Commission of the City of Tamarac, and
WHEREAS, public hearing has been held on Petition
No. 10--Z-73 by the City Council pursuant to the Charter, and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Commission has recommended to
the City Council that said zoning changes be approved after
public hearing thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That those lands described as follows
are hereby rezoned from B-1 classification to B-2 classifi-
cation, subject to site plan approval:
A portion of Fort Lauderdale Truck
Farms Subdivision of Section 10,
Township 49 South, Range 41 East,
as recorded in Plat Book 4, Page
31, of the Public Records of Broward
County, Florida, being more partic-
ularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner
of said Section 10; thence N. 00'
00'56"W., along the West line of said
Section 10, a distance of 1551.19
feet; thence S.89101'23"E., along the
Westerly extension of a line that is
parallel with and 120 feet North of,
as measured at right angles to, the
North line of the MAINLANDS OF TAMARAC
LAKES, NINTH SECTION, according to the
plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book
67, Page 48, of the Public Records of
Broward County, Florida, a distance of
53.01 feet to a point on the east
right-of-way line of University Drive,
said point being further described as
the Point of Beginning of this descrip-
tion; thence continue S.891101123"E.,
along said line being 120 feet North
of and parallel with the North line of
THE MAINLANDS OF TAMARAC LAKES, NINTH
SECTION, a distance of 420.00 feet;
thence N.00100'56" W., parallel with
the West line of said Section 10, a
distance of 100.00 feet; thence N.891
01123"W., a distance of 67.00 feet;
thence N.00000156"W., parallel with the
West line of said Section 10, a distance
of 104.00 feet; thence N.89101123"W.,
a distance of 103.00 feet; thence N.
00°00'56"W., parallel with the West line
of said Section 10 a distance of 10.00
feet; thence N.89'01'23"W., a distance
of 250.00 feet; thence S.00"00'56"E.,
along the East right-of-way line of
University Drive, a distance of 214.00
feet to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 1.864 acres more or less.
Said lands situate, lying and being in
Broward County,Florida.
(Otherwise identified as being located
in the Southwest portion of the Leader-
ship Executive Complex at 6000 N.
University Drive.)
SECTION 2. That the Official Zoning Map of the
City of Tamarac shall be changed to reflect this change of
zoning, said change to be initialed by the Mayor and the
City Clerk, together with the effective date of this
Ordinance.
SECTION 3. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
such conflict.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its final passage.
