AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTION 28-41
OF THE
CODE OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, SETTING
FORTH
MINIMUM NET
FLOOR AREA REQUIREMENTS
IN R-lB
AND R-lC ZONING
DISTRICTS; REPEALING
ALL LAWS
IN CONFLICT;
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE;
AND,
PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Tamarac,
Florida,has determined the necessity of establishing reasonable
minimum net floor area requirements for single family detached
homes in the City of Tamarac, Florida and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamaraq, Florida,
is desirous of implementing the objectives aforesaid,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Section 28-41, Floor Area is hereby amended by
deleting all of Section 28-41 and by substituting therefore the
following:
Section 28-41. The following minimum net floor area
requirements shall apply to all single family detached
homes in R-IB and R-lC one family dwelling districts,
exclusive of garage, carport and outdoor porch area.

=1,000 net sq. ft.
R-IC = 860 net sq. ft.
SECTION 2: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance
or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared
by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or
part hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.

SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage, and approval by the City Council.
