ORDINANCE NO,
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAP`FM 6 ARTICLE 111,
SECTION 6-27 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, ESTABLISHING REMISED STANDARDS
FOR CONCEALING MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT ON ROOF TOPS
IN ALL ZONING DISTRICTS EXCEPT R-1, R-lB and
R-lC; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; REPEALING ALL
LAWS AND PROVISIONS OF THE TAMARAC, CITY CODE IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE:
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission for the City of Tamarac, par-
suant to Florida Statute 163, Part 11, has determined the necessity of
revising the minimum standards for concealing mechanical equipment on
roof -tops in the City of Tamarac, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida is
desirous of implementing the objectives as aforesaid;
NOW, FORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA;
SECTION 1:
Section 6-27 - Roofscapes is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 6-27 Roofscapes
The height of exterior perimeter walls of all buildings in
all zoning districts except R-1, R-1B and R-lC, shall be higher than the total
height of all accessory equipment installed on the roof of the proposed building."
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or any por-
tion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a court of competent
jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof other than the part declared to be
invalid.

SECTION 4: This Ordinance becomes effective immediately
upon its final passage.
