CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 76-32
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 74-41 ARTICLE XVII THE
SAME BEING CHAPTER 28,SECTION 171 OF TAMARAC'S CITY CODE
BY AMENDING THERETO THE MASTER LIST OF BUSINESS AND
COMMERCIAL USES TO INCLUDE DANCE ACADEMIES AND SCHOOLS IN
B-1(NEIGHBORH000D COMMERCIAL) ZONING DISTRICT UP TO 5,000
SQUARE FEET OF FLOOR SPACE, TO INCLUDE EXTERIOR NURSERY
SALES OF POTTED PLANTS IN B-1 (NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL)
ZONING,AND TO INCLUDE ANIMAL CLINICS IN B-2 (COMMUNITY)
ZONING; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; REPEALING ALL LAWS
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the requirements
for permitting uses in the business districts and has determined that
it would be in the best interest of the City of Tamarac to permit
dance academies and schools in the B-1 (Neighborhood Commercial)
zoning district provided the area alloted for such use does not
exceed stated maximums; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due consideration
that Ordinance 74-41 Section 17.4 entitled Master List of Business
Uses, the same listed under Chapter 28, Section 171 of Tamarac's
City Code needs to be amended in accordance with the recommendation
of the Planning Commission;and
WHEREAS, the City Council has further determined that it would
be in the best interest of the City of Tamarac to permit exterior
nursery sales of potted plants in the B-1 (Neighborhood Commercial)
zoning district and animal clinics in the B-2 (Community) zoning
district; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac is desirous
of implementing the objectives of the aforesaid.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA.
SECTION 1: Ordinance 74-41 Section 17.4 entitled Master
List of Business Uses, the same being Charter 28, Section 171
of Tamarac's City Code is hereby amended to include the business
uses of dance academie!�,exterior nursery sales, and animal clinics
as follows:

SEsCTI011 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or
word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid,
such descion shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof
other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage.
