CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. r76- C
AN ORDINANCE ADJUSTING THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE ELECTION DISTRICTS OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC; DESCRIBING SAID DISTRICTS;
w INCLUDING A MAP OF SAID DISTRICTS; AND,
CONTAINING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, under Section 6.03 of the City Charter
of the City of Tamarac, the Redistricting Commission shall
file with the Manager and Council a report containing a plan
for adjustment of the council district boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the Redistricting Commission has
submitted such report and the Council has reviewed same and
is desirous of accepting the redistricting plan proposed
therein.
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That in accordance with the report
of the Redistricting Commission submitted to the Council the
council district boundaries of the City of Tamarac are hereby
adjusted as follows:
DISTRICT 1: All lands within the corporate limits East of 441
plus all lands South of Commercial and West of 441. Illustrated
on the map attached hereto color coded Blue.
DISTRICT 2: All lands within the corporate limits West of 441,
North of Commercial .Blvd., East of University Drive, to the
northern boundary of Mainlands 10. Illustrated on the map
attached hereto color coded Green.
DISTRICT 3: All lands North of the northern boundary of Mainlands
10, South of N.W. 77th Street and East of University Drive to the
corporate limits, plus lands West of University Drive to 88th
Avenue, South of McNab Road to the corporate limits. Illustrated
on the map attached hereto color coded Orange.
DISTRICT 4: All lands East of University Drive and North of 77th
Street to the corporate limits, plus all lands West of University
Drive and North of McNab Road to the corporate limits, plus all
roads West of 88th Avenue and Southof. McNab Road to the corporate
limits. Illustrated on the map attached hereto color coded Yellow.

SECTION 2: That the map of the Districts
attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A" is hereby adopted as
the official map of the council district boundaries.
SECTION 3: That the words "corporate limits",
as used in the above descriptions, shall include land areas
hereafter annexed into the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of
this Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, word,
or sentence be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction
to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remainder hereof, other than the part declared to be invalid.
SECTION S: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6: This Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its final passage, but nothing herein shall
prohibit any councilman from completing his term of office.
