ORDINANCE NO.0- 80-1
AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE WOODMONT
COUNTRY CLUB; PERMITTING EXTRAORDINARY TEMPORARY
USE OF TENTS AND TRAILERS THEREON; SETTING FORTH
FINDING OF EMERGENCY; WAIVING TO THE EXTENT OF ANY
CONFLICT ANY ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT WITH PERMISSION
GRANTED HEREIN: PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: FINDING OF EMERGENCY.
On New Year's Eve, 1980, a fire destroyed the clubhouse
of the Woodmont Country Club. This fire has made use of the club
impossible under normal conditions and some temporary relief is
determined to be in the best interests of the public health, safety
and welfare of the citizens of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 2: The City Council hereby grants, on a
temporary basis not to exceed 6 months which period may be extended
by motion of the City Council for periods not to exceed additional
6 month periods, permission to locate, on a temporary basis, a trailer
for a pro shop, a trailer for general offices, and a dining porch with
an awning approximately 20 feet by 40 feet in dimension, and a dining
tent of approximately 30 feet by 40.feet. The location of these
facilities is shown on that emergency site plan submitted by the owners
of the Woodmont Country Club to the City Council on January 3, 1980.
The facilities shall be located and constructed with the South Florida
Building Code. There shall be no kitchen facilities or cooking
facilities located in any of the uses approved in this ordinance. The
sewerage for structures shall be either connected directly to the City'
sewers or as otherwise approved by the City, Chief Building Official,
and all appropriate State, County and Federal Regulatory Agencies.
SECTION 3: All ordinances in conflict herewith are waived
to the extent of the conflict for the emergency.
SECTION 4: Upon expiration of the time periods set forth
in this ordinance or upon completion and granting of certificates of
occupancy for the reconstructed clubhouse, the uses authorized herein
shall cease within fourteen (14) calendar days and all structures shall
be removed within an additional fourteen (14) calendar days.

SECTION 5: All fees established by the City shall be
charged by the appropriate department.
SECTION 6: This ordinance shall be effective upon
adoption or as soon thereafter as provided by law.

NOTICE OF EMERGENCY ENACTMENT OF ORDINANCE
ORDINANCE #0-80-1
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Tamarac City Council
has enacted the following described ordinance pursuant to the
procedures set forth in FSS #166.0.41 (2) (b) for enactment
of emergency ordinances. Emergency treatment of Ordinance #0-80-1
was necessitated due to the fire which totally destroyed the
Woodmont Country Club. The Ordinance described by its title within
this advertisement, is available for review and/or purchase by any
member of the public at the office of the City Clerk, 2nd floor,
City Hall, 5811 N.W. 88th Avenue.
