AN ORDINANCE X4ENDING PRIOR ZONING ORDINANCES ,
PMVIDTNG FOR `THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL
PROPERTY FROM A-1 to S-1 (DESCRIBED AS BEING
TN LAND S=IOM 4, 5, 6, 31, 32 and 33 ON THE
NORTH SIDE OF SOUTHGATE BOULEVARD, WESTWARD
FROM UNIVERSITY DRIVE);
PROVIDING FOR AMUMU OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING
MAP TO REFLECT SUCH CHANGE; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the instruction of the City Council of
the City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has been given in accordance with
the applicable law of the time and place of public hearing regarding the zoning
of the property described herein and the said public hearing has been held in
accordance with the notice and the public has been given an opportunity to be,
and has been heard; and the Council has examined and investigated the request.
for the zoning herein and has received the recommendation of the Planning Ccaml-
ission of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, public hearing has been held on Petition 7- Z -,P-D
the City Council, pursuant to the Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDPMD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,

SECTION 1: That those lands described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and made a part hereof are hereby rezoned from A - I To S- /
SECTION 2: That the Official Zoning Map of the city of Tamarac
shall be changed to reflect in the zoning, said changes to be initialed by the
Mayor and the City Clerk, together with the effective date of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or any
portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a Court of cony
pxtent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than the part declared tc
be invalid.

That portion of Section b, Township 49 South, Range 41
East, Broward County, Florida, together with that
portion of Section 5, Township 49 South, Range 41
East, Section 31, Township 48 South, Range 41 East
and Section 33, Township 48 South, Range 41 East,
FLORIDA FRUIT LANDS COMPANY SUBDIVISION #2, as
recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 102, of the Public
Records of Palm Beach County, Florida, together
with the portion of Section 32, Township 48 South,
Range 41 East, Broward County, Florida, lying 180.00
feet South of, as measured at right angles to the
South line of Canal C-14, CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN
FLORIDA FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT, being bounded on
the East by the West Right -of -Way line of University
Drive.
Said lands situate, lying and being in Broward County,
Florida.
(Otherwise identified as being those lands on the north

These changes are proposed pursuant to the adoption of the
Land Use Element of the City of Tamarac Comprehensive Plan
on November 13, 1979.
