CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO. 0—;F-0-75<
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 41 OF ORDINANCE NO. 72-29
PERTAINING TO OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES BY AMENDING REGULATIONS
PERTAINING TO JEWELRY DEALERS WHO BUY AND SELL GOLD AND
SILVER AND OTHER PRECIOUS METALS, AND JEWELRY, AND FOR
WATCH REPAIRING ESTABLISHMENTS BY PROVIDING THAT SEPARATE
OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES DO NOT HAVE TO BE OBTAINED FOR
THESE OCCUPATIONS WHEN THE BUSINESS HAS APPROPRIATE
OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE(S) AS A MERCHANT; PROVIDING FOR
- SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING REPEALER AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Subsections 136 and 138 of Section 41 of Ordinance
No. 72-29 which establish the amount of occupational license to be paid for
Jewelry Dealers who buy and sell gold and silver and jewelry, and for watch
repairing establishments is amended by adding the words, numbers and punctuation
underscored, and deleting the words, numbers and punctuation struck through as
follows:
136. JEWELRY DEALERS
who buy and sell old gold and silver and other precious
metals or offering to buy and sell (permanent records of all purchases and
sales, including dates, description of property purchased and sold, names and
addresses of persons purchasing or buying required.) A separate license is not
required when the business has appropriate occupational license($) as a merchant.

138. JEWELRY AND WATCH REPAIRING
(Separate license required except when the business has
appropriate occupational licenses as a merchant. - - - - - - - - $ 50.00
SECTION 2: Should any section or provision of this ordinance
or any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a court
of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof other than the
part declared to be invalid.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall become effective
September 30, 1980.
