ORDINANCE NO. D - Q -
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7-7(b) OF THE TAMARAC CITY
CODE BY REQUIRING IN LANDSCAPE PLANS A TABLE OR SCHEDULE
OF THE VEGETATION AND OTHER ITEMS TO BE PROVIDED; PRO-
VIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING REPEALER; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC. FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Section 7-7(b) of the Tamarac City,Code is amended by
adding the words, numerals and punctuation underscored, and by deleting the
words, numerals and punctuation struck through as follows:
(b� landscape plans. Landscape plans shall be submitted
on a separate drawing to the beautification committee
accompanied with a city landscape checklist completed by
the petitioner. The following information is required to
be included on all landscape plans (in scale) ,no less than
one inch equals thirty (30) feet, on twenty -four -inch by
thirty -six-inch sheets.
(1) Ten (10) copies of landscape plans sealed either by a
registered architect or landscape architect or nurseryman
approved by the chief building official.
(2) Project title.
-(3) Developer.
(4) North arrow and scale.
(5) All boundary dimensions.
(6) All existing vegetation.
(7) Preserved trees and relocated trees.
(8) Certification that an irrigation system (free of rust) will
be provided for the landscaped area.
(9), Common names as well as botanical names of proposed plant
material with minimum trunk diameter and height at time of planting.
Include type of ground cover. A table or schedule of the number,
type and size of each tree and shrub and the amount of square footage
of sod plus the t e and the amount of square footage -of sod to be

(10) Location and size of material to be used.
(11) Design, location and material of any walls and fences.
Include car stops and curbing.
(12) Location or proposed ground signs, if any.
(13) Location of dumpsters, if any.
(14) Elevations of structures showing concealment of roofscapes.
All developments shall incorporate native vegetation into
handscape plans. Undesirable species, such as Australian pine
(Cesurina), Brazilian pepper (Florida holly), Castor bean, and
Melaleuca, shall be prohibited. Where a commercially zoned
district abuts a residential district, refer to the ordinances
on setbacks, fences, trash containers or dumpsters for
additional requirements.
The beautification committee shall approve the landscape plans
prior to final site plan approval by the planning commission.

SECTION 2: Specific authority is hereby granted to codify this '
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this ordinance or
any portion hereof or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a court of
competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity
of the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof other than the part declared
to be invalid.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its final passage.
