HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Tamarac Ordinance O-1980-099Introduced by: I Temp. #788 CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA ORDINANCE NO.O—SD- 9 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 28-36 OF THE TAMARAC CITY CODE PERTAINING TO MAXIMUM PLOT COVERAGE IN R-lB and R-IC ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICTS BY DELETING GARAGES AND CARPORTS AS FACTORS NOT TO BE COMPUTED IN DETERMINING THE MAXIMUM PLOT COVERAGE PERMITTED; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: Section 28-36 of the Tamarac City Code pertaining to maximum plot coverage in R-113 and R-1C zoning districts are amended by adding the words, numerals and punctuation underscored, and by deleting the words, numerals and punctuation struck through as follows: Sec. 28-36. Plot coverage. The maximum plot coverage of all main and accessory structures, excluding garages-aed-earperts; pools and uncovered patios or open mesh screened patios without structural roofs and sun decks may be no greater than forty (40) per cent of the area of the plot. Q - D /v v AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING ANNUAL GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF TAMARAC IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $7,335,120.00 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1980; PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN AUTHORITY OF THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE INTRA DEPARTMENT FUND TRANSFERS WITHIN EXPENDITURE CATEGORIES; PROVIDING FOR MODIFICATION BY CITY COUNCIL; PROVIDING REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Manager has presented a budget message and recommended annual General Fund budget to the Council for the en- suing fiscal year beginning October 1, 1980, and WHEREAS, heretofore the Council has received said budget message and the proposed annual budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1980, as recommended by the City Manager, and has summarized the budget in advertisements in newspapers of general circulation as required by its Charter and by State law and has held public hearing; thereon, and WHEREAS, the public has had available to them copies of such budget and the opportunity to express themselves concerning the provision thereof at Public Hearings thereon, and WHEREAS, the City Council received and reviewed said recommenda- tions and comments by the public and in the course of public hearing: and workshops certain modifications in the originally proposed budget were made, and WHEREAS, the City Council is now desirous of adopting an annual General Fund budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1980, an adopting, approving and otherwise setting a levy upon taxable proper within the corporate limits of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the annual General Fund budget of estimated expenses and receipts for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1980, as modified as a result of workshops and public hearings, reflecting total revenues and expenditures of $7,240,960.00 as set forth in �'T 1 2 3 4 5 6 ,r 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 11 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 0 1 .32 33 34 35 36 Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth herein, be, and the same is hereby adopted and approved by the Council of the City of Tamarac as the budget of the City of Tamarac for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1980. Also adopted by reference as a part of said budget is the budget detail dated 1980 which sets forth each line item in the budget. SECTION 2: The City Council is authorized to make budget ad- justments between the respective categories set forth in Exhibit A by Motioni.as it may deem necessary and proper. Each Motion shall provide the amount, name and line item number the transfer is made from,and the amount, name and line item number monies are transferred "to. Each Motion shall also .include the balance in each line item affected by the amendment before and after amendment is made. SECTION 3: The City Manager is authorized to make intra depart- ment fund transfers within a budget category, but interdepartment transfers are to be made only as provided in paragraph 2 above. Each intra department fund transfer shall be in writing. It shall set forth the amount, name and line item number the transfer is made from,and the amount, name and line item number the transfer is made tc Each such transfer shall also set forth the balance in each line item affected by the transfer before and after the transfer is made. SECTION 4: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to forward to the Property Appraiser of Broward County a certified copy of this Ordinance. SECTION 5: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to forward to the Department of Revenue and to the Comptroller. -.of the. State of Florida a certified copy of this Ordinance. SECTION 6: The City Clerk is authorized and instructed to keep a certified copy of this Ordinance and the budget provided for herein in the permanent files of the City of Tamarac. SECTION 7: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
