CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC TRAFFIC CIRCULATION, INTERGOVERNMENTAL CO-
ORDINATION, UTILITY, HOUSING, CONSERVATION AND RECREATION
AND OPEN SPACE ELEMENTS OF ITS COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AS RE-
QUIRED BY THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ACT
OF 1975; PROVIDING THAT THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN SHALL
BE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENT IN TAMARAC;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISION; PROVIDING
REPEALER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975
provides that each unit of local government shall prepare, adopt and implement
a comprehensive plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has prepared and seeks to adopt the
Traffic Circulation, Park and Open Space, Intergovernmental Co-ordination, Utility,
Housing, and Conservation Elements of its Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, copies of the elements were distributed to the appropriate
State, Regional and County agencies for review and comment and whose input was
considered in putting the elements in final form as required by Section 163.318,
F.S., and
WHEREAS, pursuant to law, notices have been given by publication in
a newspaper of general paid circulation in the City, notifying the public of
this proposed ordinance and of public hearings; and
WHEREAS, public hearings before the City Council were held, pursuant to
published notices, at which hearings the parties in interest and all other
citizens so desiring had an opportunity to be and were in fact heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the attached City of Tamarac Traffic Circulatid
Intergovernmental Co-ordination, Utility, Housing, Conservation and Recreation
and Open Space Elements are incorporated by reference herein and hereby adopted by
the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida, as portions of the City of
Tamarac Comprehensive Plan in compliance with the requirements of the Local
Government Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975. These elements plus the Future
Land Use Element enacted in Ordinance No. 79-64 comprise the entire Tamarac
Comprehensive Plan as required by the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act

of 1975 unless and until the City enacts any optional element permitted under the
1975 Act, at some later date.

SECTION 2: Purpose.
The purpose of the City's Comprehensive Plan is as set forth in
Section 163.3161, F.S., and shall be the minimum development standards for future
development in the City.
SECTION 3:
Should any section or provision of this ordinance or any portion
hereof or any paragraph, sentence or word be declared by a Court of competent
jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of
the remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof other than the part declared
to be invalid.
SECTION 4:
" All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5:
This ordinance �s�hall become effective upon its final passage.
