ORDINANCE NO. 0- 97-/
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PRIOR ZONING ORDINANCES,
PROVIDING FOR THE REZONING OF CERTAIN REAL PROP-
ERTY FROM R-3U (LOW DENSITY MULTIPLE DWELLING TO
S-1 (OPEN SPACE/RECREATIONAL); LANDS DESCRIBED AS
A PORTION OF LAND SECTION 6, TOWNSHIP 49 SOUTH,
RANGE 41 EAST, LYING IN THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA, OTHERWISE IDENTIFIED AS THE PROPOSED
RECREATION AREA FOR CLAIRMONT 1ST ADDITION (PEND-
ING PLAT OF A SUBDIVISION) TO BE LOCATED AT THE
N.W. CORNER OF N.W. 71 PLACE AND N.W. 106 AVENUE;
PETITION #27-Z-86; PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENT OF THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO REFLECT SUCH CHANGE; PRO-
VIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE --
WHEREAS, pursuant to the instructions of the City Council
of the City of Tamarac, Florida, public notice has been given in
accordance with the applicable law of the time and place of
public hearing regarding the zoning of the property described
herein and the said public hearing has been held in accordance
with the notice and the public has been given an opportunity to
be, and has been heard; and the Council has examined and investi-
gated the request for the zoning herein and has received the
recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Tamarac;
and
WHEREAS, public hearing has been held on Petition #27-Z-86
by the City Council, pursuant to the Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTI,QN 1: That those lands described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof are hereby rezoned from
R-3U (Low Density Mulitple Dwelling) to S-1 (Open Space/Recre-
ational).
SECTION 2: That the Official Zoning Map of the City of
Tamarac shall be changed to reflect in the rezoning, said changes
to be initialed by the Mayor and the City Clerk, together with
the effective date of this Ordinance.
SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.

SECTION 4: Should any section or provision of this
Ordinance or any portion thereof, or any paragraph, sentence or
word be declared by a Court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than the
part declared to be invalid.
SECT1QN 5: This Ordinance shall become effective immedi-
ately upon its final passage.
