ORDINANCE No. 0-87- 63
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 15 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC TO INCREASE THE FINE
FOR PARKING ILLEGALLY IN A SPACE RESERVED FOR
HANDICAPPED PARKING; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICA-
TION; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY OF INVALID PROVISIONS; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That Chapter 15, Article II of the City
Code is hereby Amended at Section 15-5.1(c), Parking Places
For Handicapped Persons to provide as follows:
" C. Penalty
1.. Any person issued a citation for
violating the provisions of this section shall be subject to
a fine of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars
($250.00) for each such citation. Any person cited under
this provision shall be entitled to the appeal provisions of
Section 15-3.2."
SECTION 2 : Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify this Ordinance.
SECTION 3 : All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 4 : If any provision of this Ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of this Ordinance that can be given affect
without the invalid provision or application, and to this end
the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be sever-
able.

Attached, please find a proposed Ordinance amending
Section 15-5.1(c) of the Tamarac City Code relating to
handicapped parking. The back-up indicates that you wanted
to have this matter discussed by Council. I cannot determine
from the back-up if the Council ever addressed this matter.
If the Council wants to go forward with this Ordinance I
believe the Ordinance is a sufficient form to be placed on
the Agenda.
