WHEREAS, Article V, Section 28-34(b) of the City code of
the City of Tamarac entitled R-lB and R-1C One -Family
Dwelling Districts does not currently provide for non-profit
governmental schools as a permitted use; and
WHEREAS, non-profit governmental schools fall within the
same guidelines as governmental buildings which are permitted
uses within Chapter 28-34(b); and
WHEREAS, non-profit governmental schools are consistent
with the intended uses of Section 28-34 (b) of the Code of the
City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held pursuant to
Chapter 166, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac deter-
mines that it is in the public interest to adopt the follow-
ing Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMAR.AC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That Article V Section 28-34(b) of the Code
of the City of Tamarac entitled R-IB and R-lC One -Family
Dwelling District is hereby amended to.read as follows:

The City Council of Tamarac, Florida proposes to change the
permitted uses in the Zoning Code for the land within the
area shown in the map in this advertisement.
A Public Hearing on the changes to permitted uses will be
held on Wednesday, January 13, 1988, at 7:30 P.M., at City
Hall, 5811 N.W. 88 Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

NOTICE OF PERMITTED USE CHANCES
IN ZONING CODE

The City Council of Tamarac, Florida proposes to change the permitted
uses in the Zoning Code for the land within the area shown in the map
in this advertisement.
A Public Hearing on the changes to. permitted uses will be 'held on
Wednesday, January 27, 1988, at 5:05 P.M., at City Hall, 5811 N.W. 88
Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.
The titles of the proposed Ordinances which encompass the proposed
changes in permitted use are as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA AMENDING
CHAPTER 28 OF THE CODE QF ORDINANCES: AMENDING SECTION
28-11 "MASTER LIST ENUMERATION", BUSINESS USE; PERTAINING
TO OUTDOOR (SIDEWALK) SALES; REQUIRING FEES, APPLICATIONS,
AND CONDITIONS FOR OUTDOOR (SIDEWALK) SALES; PROVIDING
FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, Article V, Section 28-34(b) of the City code of
the City of Tamarac entitled R-lB and R--1C One -Family
Dwelling Districts does not currently provide for non-profit
governmental schools as a permitted use; and
WHEREAS, non-profit governmental schools fall within the
same guidelines as governmental buildings which are permitted
uses within Chapter 28-34(b); and
WHEREAS, non-profit governmental schools are consistent
with the intended uses of Section 28-34(b) of the Code of the
City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held pursuant to
Chapter 166, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac deter-
mines that it is in the public interest to adopt the follow-
ing Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 That Article V Section 28-34(b) of the Code
of the City of Tamarac entitled R--1B and R-lC One -Family
Dwelling District is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 28--34 PERMITTED USES
No building or structure or part thereof shall be
erected, altered or used, or land or water used, in
whole or in part, for other than one of the
following uses:

(b) Recreation buildings and facilities,
playrounds, playfields, parks and beaches, owned and
operated by federal, state, county or municipal
governmental buildings including city hall, fire,
and police facilities and non-profit governmental
schools.
SECTION 2 : Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify this Ordinance.
SECTION 3 All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 4 : If any provision of this Ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of this Ordinance that can be given affect
without the invalid provision or application, and to this end
the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be sever-
able.
SECTION 5 : This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon adoption and passage.
