AN.ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC AMENDING
CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAIN-
ING TO OFF-STREET PARKING AND LOADING;
AMENDING SECTION 18-3(1)(d) TO PERMIT NINETY
DEGREE PARKING IN ALL NON RESIDENTIAL PARKING
SPACES; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATIION; PROVID-
ING FOR REPEALER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac
wishes to
eliminate
the
numerous accidents within parking
lots caused
by different
parking stall configurations; and
WHEREAS, land can be developed
without
undo loss
of
space by allowing 90 degree parking;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of
the City
of Tamarac
has
determined that it is in the public
interest
to adopt
the
following Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has
been held
pursuant
to
Chapter 166, Florida Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 18-3(1)(d) of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Tamarac, entitled "Parking lot
design; general requirements" is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Sec. 18-3. Parking lot design; general requirements.
(1) Miscellaneous Provisions
(d) All parking spaces, except--in--residential
distriets; shall be at a thirty-, forty --five, or sixty- or
ninety -degree angle as shown in figure A; except that the
planning commission may recommend and the city council may
waive this provision in accordance with the provisions of

following Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held pursuant to
Chapter 166, Florida Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
