ORDINANCE No. 0-88-
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RELATING TO ANNEXATION; AMENDING SEC. 13.01
OF THE CITY CHARTER TO REFLECT THE NEW CITY
BOUNDARIES RESULTING FROM THE ADOPTION OF
H.B. 1250 BY THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE; PROVID-
ING FOR SEVERABILITY, PROVIDING FOR REPEALER;
PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CITY CHARTER;
PROVIDING CODIFICATION FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature has recently adopted
H.S. 1250 which annexes a portion of unincorporated Broward
County into the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 166.031 Florida Statutes provides that
a municipality may, by ordinance, and without referendum,
redefine its Charter boundaries to include lands previously
annexed; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 166 Florida Statutes the
City Council of the City of Tamarac has held a public hearing
on this Ordinance and determined that its adoption is in the
public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That Sec. 13.01 of the Charter of the City
of Tamarac, entitled "Boundaries", is hereby amended to read
as follows:

SECTION 13.01 BOUNDARIES
The municipal boundaries of the City of Tamarac are
hereby defined and specifically described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of the plat,of Tamarac
Lakes, as recorded in Plat Book 58, Page 40, of the Public
Records of Broward County, Florida, being more particularly
described as the northeast corner of the south one-half
(S1/2) of the southwest one -quarter (Swl/4) of Section 16,
Township 49 South, Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida;
Thence southerly along the east line of the southwest
one -quarter (SW1/4) of said Section 16, a distance of
1,016.92 feet to a point of intersection with the south
right-of-way line of Prospect Field Road (State Road 582);
Thence N. 77 degrees 39'11" W. along said south right-
of-way line a distance of 1,353.68 feet;
Thence S. 01 degrees 15'35" E. 51.44 feet;
Thence N. 77 degrees 39'11" W. to a point of intersec-
tion with the east line of Section 17, Township 49 South,
Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida;
Thence westerly and northerly along said right-of-way
line to the south line of the north one-half (N1/2) of the
northwest one -quarter (NW1/4) of the southeast one -quarter
(SE1/4) of said Section 17;
Thence westerly along the said south line and along the
south line of the north one-half (N1/2) of the northeast one-

right-of-way line of N.W. 50th Street, being 555 feet south

(S1/2) of said Section 18;
Thence westerly along the said south right-of-way line
to a line 861.25 feet west of and parallel with the east line
of the southwest one -quarter (SW1/4) of said Section 18;
Thence southerly along the said parallel line to a line,
1,011.04 feet south of and parallel with the north line of
the said southwest one -quarter (SW1/4);
Thence westerly parallel to and 1,011.04 feet south of,
as measured at right angles to the north line of the south-
west one -quarter (SW1/4) to the point of intersection with
the west line of said southwest one -quarter (SW1/4);

of intersection with the west right -of --way of State Road 7
(U.S. 441) which point is 100 feet west of the east boundary
line of Section 13, Township 49 South, Range 41 East;

codify this Ordinance.
SECTION 3 : All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 4 : If any provision of this Ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of this Ordinance that can be given affect
without the invalid provision or application, and to this end
the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be sever-
able.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RELATING TO ANNEXATION; AMENDING SEC. 13.02�
OF THE CITY CHARTER TO REFLECT THE NEW CITY
BOUNDARIES RESULTING FROM THE ADOPTION OF
H.B. 1250 BY THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE; PROVID-
ING FOR SEVERABILITY, PROVIDING FOR REPEALER;
PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CITY CHARTER;
PROVIDING CODIFICATION FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature has recently
H.H. 1250 which annexes a portion of unincorporated
County into the City of Tamarac; and
adopted
Broward
WHEREAS, Chapter 166.031 Florida Statutes provides that
a municipality may, by ordinance, and without referendum,
redefine its Charter boundaries to include lands previously
annexed; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 166 Florida Statutes the
City Council of the City of Tamarac has held a public hearing
on this Ordinance and determined that its adoption is in the
public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That Sec. 13.01 of the Charter of the City
of Tamarac, entitled°"Boundaries",
as follows:

SECTION 13.01 BOUNDARIES
The municipal boundaries of the City of Tamarac are
hereby defined and specifically described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of the plat of Tamarac
Lakes, as recorded in Plat Book 58, Page 40, of the Public
Records of Broward County, Florida, being more particularly
described as the northeast corner of the south one-half
(S1/2) of the southwest one -quarter (SW1/4) of Section 16,
Township 49 South, Range 42 East, Broward County, Florida;

invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of this Ordinance that can be given affect
without the invalid provision or application, and to this end
the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be sever-
able.
SECTION 5 This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon adoption and passage.
