INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM /
C/A NO. 8810-8419
TO: Carol A. Evans, City Clerk
FROM: Janet Lander Esquire
SUBJECT: ATTACHED PROPOSED EMERGENCY ORDINANCE
DATE: October 19, 1988
-------------------------------------------------------------
In accordance with the request of the City Manager, I
have prepared the attached proposed ordinance which postpones
the deadline for compliance of certain non -conforming signs
until April 1989.
Since it is an Emergency Ordinance, you need not comply
with the advertising requirements set forth in Sec. 166.041
(3)(a), Florida Statutes. However, you must provide
emergency notice to the press and public that the City
Council will hold a special meeting on Friday, October 21,
1988 in Conference Room #1 at 2:00 p.m. for the purpose of
considering the enactment of the above described emergency
ordinance.
I thank you and your staff for your assistance and
cooperation.
