CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
ORDINANCE No. 0-90-aL41-
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC# FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 14, "MOTOR NEHICLEA, AND
TRAFFIC", ARTICLE I, "IN GENERAL" BY ADDING A
NEW SECTION 14-4 PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF
MOTOR VEHICLES ON MEDIAN STRIPS WITHIN THE
CITY, PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION? PROVIDING
FOR REPEALER? PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY? AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac,
Florida finds that it is in the best interests of the health,
• .46fety and welfare of its citizens to regulate the �parking of

'motor vehicles upon median strips within the City?
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Chapter 14 cf —the City of Tamarac Cody
entitled Motor Vehicles and Traffite-Article I "In General"
is hereby amended by adding a new Stction 14-4 which shall
read as follows:
Sec. 14-4. Parking on Median Stri s Prohibited.
No Derson shall drive or park a motor vehicl,e•across ,a
median -strip of the citXj, except where sRicificallY
zmitted by traffic si n or indicator exce t that this
rovision shall not aj2j2lX to authorized ewer enc
vehicles.
SEC7i0N 2: Specific authority is hereby granted to
codify this Ordinance.

SECTION 3: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances.in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 4: If any provision of this Ordinance or the
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of this Ordinance that can be given affect
without the invalid provision or application, and to this'end
the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be
severable.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon adoption and passage.
