CITY COMMISSION WORKSHOP/ORIENTATION
THURSDAY, MARCH 20, 1997
CALL TO QRDER: Mayor Schreiber called the workshop/orientation to order on
Thursday, March 20, 1997, at 1:35 p.m. in Conference Room #1 of Tamarac City Hall,
7525 Northwest 88th Avenue, Tamarac, Florida.

Captain Goldstein advised that Sheriff Ron Cochran was back in the hospital.
Mr. Noe introduced members of staff and referred to budget documents. He said Dr.
Mathis would be at City Hall the beginning of April to discuss planning sessions. Mr.
Noe referred to a transition at Parks and Recreation, employee meetings and EMS in
conjunction with Medics ambulance.
City Manager Noe spoke regarding Item 10 (the HTE agreement) on the March 26,
1997 regular City Commission agenda, repairing streets, space study, build -out, pay
plan, classification study and training regarding laptop computers.

Mr. Noe continued his discussion concerning Hiatus Road, recruitment,
telecommunications towers, the Charter, the Personnel Manual, annexation and
Tamarac Elementary School with regard to the Multi -Purpose Center.

Comm. McKaye discussed Monday City Commission workshops, the
telecommunications ordinance, the computer system and future City Commission
orientations
With no further discussion, Mayor Schreiber adjourned the orientation at 2:35 p.m.
